People often ask me what drives me and how I keep moving forward. I never really know how to explain what drives me. However, I can say that a few of the things that keeps me going is focusing on the little things, staying positive and having good habits.
Here is an example; I do this exercise every year on New Year’s Eve so I thought I would share it in case anyone else would find this helpful. I really do this exact exercise every year and have for some time. It is a 3 step process and you will need a blank piece of paper because you will be making a list.
Step 1. Think of your biggest success of the previous year, in this case, 2014. If you can’t think of a big success think of something that you are even a little bit proud of.
Step 2. What 5 personality traits do you possess that made that success possible?
Step 3. If those 5 traits played an even bigger role on your life during 2015, what 20 differences would you experience throughout the year?
Exercises like this help me stay focused on creating the life I would like to live and not just trying to not have problems. I hope this helps you as much as it helps me. Please share if it does!
All the Best in 2015!
