SFT Thought of the Month:

When I review the last month of my work with clients, there is a definite theme that begins to emerge. I have had a large amount of clients and couples that came into my office in desperate situations. The type of desperation that causes people to truly feel that the situation is lost. In fact, many couples have come stating they were, “heading towards divorce” or “my child does not live in the home and won’t return”. Then, after a conversation about the details of a preferred future, the light at the end of the tunnel begins to appear. Not only does it appear, it seems to be the light on the front end of a freight train heading right for them! Right there in the room the solution goes from being unimaginable to inevitable, just by developed a detail rich preferred future description. In order to do this the clinician must have a high amount of trust in the client’s ability to describe their preferred futu re as well in the SFT process. For me, this level of trust has been a learning process, a process that still is impacted by my clients to this story. The more clients I see, the more I believe in them!

Quote of the Month:

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales”.

– Albert Einstein

I hope you enjoyed and found inspiration!
