A few months a I posted something on my blog that explained my belief that the Solution Focused Approach as not being stregnth-based. This post prompted many people to send me emails and responses to that post on my social media platforms asking, “if it is not strengths-based then what is it”? In this video, I explain how I would describe it instead.
Ah! The concept of having “love” for my clients is where I come from in a most genuine way. It is my genuine love and regard for them and their ability to change that keeps me in the “game”. I’m a Biblical life coach and person of faith so when I have permission, I apply the principles found in Scripture. However, whether the client shares that view or not, I am driven by my love for them as human beings to help them to see their full potential for change and growth. SFBT is the best vehicle to do that and thank you again Elliott Connie for being willing to teach and reach all you can with this message.
That is so nice to hear Valerie! Thank you for allowing me to share!
